This six-week yoga program designed to release tension in the upper back, neck and shoulders emphasizes gentle stretches, strength-building, and relaxation techniques.
The program begins with gentle therapeutic movements, and breath techniques to unlock stiff muscles in the upper body.
As the weeks progress, more yoga postures will be introduced to strengthen and lengthen the upper back, while opening through the chest.
The program incorporates breathing exercises, mindfulness cues and meditations to reduce stress, which often contributes to muscle tension.
Note sheets will be provided weekly to inspire short periods of home practice to complement the in class guidance.
With consistent practice, this yoga routine helps alleviate upper back tension, improves posture, and enhances overall physical and mental well-being.
